Chief Kruger is pleased to announce that his first Annual Report for the East Dundee Police Department is now available on our website at: https://www.eastdundee.net/government/departments/police/annual_report.php . Some of the noteworthy statistics include, Calls for service increasing from 4159 in 2021 to 4977 in 2022.  Overall, crime reported rose 40% from 80 serious Part 1 Offenses in 2021 to 112 in 2022, after two years of that level staying flat. One area that we saw a significant increase was incidence of felony  theft doubling from 31to 62. We also experienced an increase in aggravated assaults and batteries from 2 in 2021 to 7 in 2022.  Officer training reflected a substantial increase surpassing pre-covid levels from 385 hours to 2721 hours or an average of 129 hours per officer.
