The Village of East Dundee provides billing to residential and commercial customers for water, sewer, and refuse services (provided by Flood Brothers). The Finance Department is responsible for all matters related to utility billing. Customers may sign up for new service, update account information, or discontinue service by calling 847-426-2822.

New Application for Service
The Village of East Dundee is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please complete the appropriate application and return in person to 120 Barrington Avenue, East Dundee, IL 60118, fax (847-426-2956) or email to eastdundee@eastdundee.net. Deposit payment and photo identification may be required. If you should have any questions about the application and/or utility service, please contact the Village.


Billing Dates & Rates
The Village bills residents’ bi-monthly for utility usage and refuse collection. Payments are due 20 days from the billing date.

Mail dates are February, April, June, August, October and December. Late payments are subject to a 10% penalty if received after the due date shown on the bill.

Paying your Bill
The Department provides several convenient ways to pay utility bills, which are listed below. Always include your remittance coupon for proper application to your account. To avoid misapplication of payments and delays, the preferred way to pay is online thru your portal. This gets applied directly to your account and uploaded into our system.

Online
The Village offers the convenience of viewing your utility account through an online portal. Customers can make online payments using Visa, MasterCard, or Discover. Please note that convenience fees are applied to all credit and debit card transactions. Automatic Withdrawal (ACH)
Your utility payment is automatically withdrawn from your bank account on the due date of your bill. This is a safe and convenient way to pay your bill with no additional fees. To enroll, register your account in the customer portal. Please click the link  to create an account. When entering the account number, please DO NOT include the dash in the account number.

The bi-monthly deduction will continue until the customer cancels the payment option in the portal. If the customer moves to a new location within East Dundee, they will need to cancel ACH withdrawals from their current location and set it up for the new location. The Village will not deduct final bills via ACH.

Mail
Payments sent by mail should include the statement stub and a check, money order, or cash. Checks and money orders must be written out to Village of East Dundee and use the envelope provided with the bill. The mailing address is:

Drop Box
Customers can use the 24-hour drop box on the side of Village Hall, located at 120 Barrington Avenue. Payments placed in the drop box should include the statement stub and a check written out to Village of East Dundee and use the envelope provided with the bill. Cash and money orders are also accepted.

In Person
Customers can pay in person using cash, money order, or check at Village Hall, which is at 120 Barrington Avenue, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (not including municipal holidays).
