In addition to routine law enforcement assistance, be aware of the following services:

Housewatches

Want us to keep an eye on your house while you're away? Call the East Dundee Police Dept. at 847-428-4034 and we'd be happy to arrange a housewatch in your absence.

Child Seat Inspections

Officer Gracia and Officer Kasiba are both certified in child car seat installation. Remember that all children age 8 and under are required by law to be in a child restraint device, and all persons 8-16 years of age must wear a seatbelt, regardless of where they are sitting in the vehicle. Please call us if you would like to have yours inspected for safety.

S.P.A.N. (Stopping Crime by Educating Seniors)

S.P.A.N. is composed of weekly half-day classes centered around numerous topics that are pertinent to the Senior Citizen. The program was started by Officer White of the East Dundee Police Department, who is certified through the Illinois Attorney General's Office as a Seniors Officer. The program was made in conjunction with the Dundee Park District. The topics range from, but are not limited to: personal safety, cons and scams, home improvement fraud, telemarketing, drug safety, state programs, and lawyers for seniors. Check the Dundee Township Park District Senior Center for class information at 847-428-7131.

*Reminders*

  • Parking on the street is not allowed in the Village from 2 am to 6 am, and doing so will incur a fine. If you must leave your car out overnight you may call it into QuadCom at 847-428-8784. Also blocking a driveway, not having a vehicle sticker, parking on a sidewalk, or in your yard will result in a parking ticket.

  • Yardwaste burning is only allowed on the second and fourth Saturdays during the months of October, November and April and the second and fourth Sundays during the months of October, November and April. Open burning under this section shall be allowed between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. October and November. Burning waste during other months could result in a complaint being filed. Small campfires, however, are allowed year round.

  • All vehicles in the Village, regardless of if they're being driven, must be operable and have valid, current license plates. Violations will result in a 10 day inoperable motor vehicle notice, and your car will be towed if the situation is not corrected.
