Wine Down Wednesdays

This year’s series will feature great music, excellent food, and refreshing wine and beer. Live music, summer nights, and good friends are a perfect combination for a mid-week pick me up! Each Wine Down Wednesday will be at the Depot, located at 319 N. River Street in East Dundee, and will last from 6:00pm-9:00pm. We hope to see you there!

Free to attend, please bring a lawn chair because seating is limited. A $1 wristband is required to purchase and drink alcohol. Outside alcoholic beverages are not allowed.


June 10th - Superfly Symphony
superfly The first Wine Down Wednesday will feature a live performance by Superfly Symphony, a high energy dance band focusing on disco hits of the 1970’s. Come dressed up in your best 70’s/disco fashion! It’s going to be one big dance party!
July 8th - Mr. Myers

Mr. Myers is a Caribbean Rock/Reggae band that plays both originals and covers of popular beach music from artists like Jimmy Buffett and Bob Marley. Come dressed up in your best beach/Caribbean/Hawaiian attire!


August 12th - The Flat Cats
The Flat Cats are a Chicago Jazz Big Band Sensation who play a range of vintage and modern music rooted in the hottest swinging jazz and blues, contemporary classics, and timeless standards. Whether you choose to listen, tap your foot, or cut a rug on the dance floor, you are sure to be entertained! Come dressed up in 1920s Speakeasy Party Fashion to fit right in!

Holiday Lights Recycling Program - Dec. 1, 2019 thru Jan. 31, 2020

The Village of East Dundee, in partnership with Elgin Recycling (, will accept holiday lights for recycling through January 31, 2020. This will be the Village's third year participating in the Elgin Recycling Holiday Lights Recycling Program. Residents and businesses can drop-off their unwanted holiday lights at Village Hall, located at 120 Barrington Avenue, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. A drop-off bin will be located in the Village Hall lobby.

All colors and lengths of holiday string lighting, including mini-lights (or Italian lights), C7 lights, C9 lights, rope lights, LED lights, extension cords, etc. are accepted. Garland, live greens, wreaths or other non-recyclables are not accepted.

Last year with the participation of 51 villages, 8 park districts, 2 libraries, 2 churches, 1 high school, 1 police department and 2 businesses, Elgin Recycling was able to recycle 101,747 lbs of holiday lights that would otherwise been thrown away. For their 11th annual holiday lights recycling program Elgin Recycling's goal is to recycle over 110,000 lbs of holiday lights.

Thom McNamee Memorial St. Patrick's Day Parade

11:00AM at Downtown East Dundee
The parade begins at Rosie O’Hare’s at 702 Water Street and travels south to Barrington Avenue and then east to River Street, ending at Bandito Barneys.
